There are many different times and seasons in people’s lives.There are those seasons where we live life carefree.There is that time of our lives when we have more responsibilities as adults.Then there are those great times of our life that are the senior years.  It is those senior years I would
like to take a look at.Mainly, that is the season of a person’s life when they really can’t care for themselves.

It is during that time when a family needs to look at 3 options.  This is going to be perspective I have gained from running my own home health care services Coronado company.

First option is the adult kids taking care of them.This would be the best option.But there will be instances when the kids aren’t in a position to do it.Whether it is due to scheduling conflicts because of a job or family responsibilities.  Well if that is the case, there are 2 other options.

Nursing homes may be necessary for those times when a person may have health issues and aren’t able to care for themselves.This is somebody who is in need of medical supervision constantly.But if someone is not in that time of their life, they won’t need to go to a nursing home.And from the people I have dealt with, they don’t want to.Unfortunately, a lot of people are of the opinion that is the only choice.

Well if they are pushed into that, a senior can feel they have lost their independance.They have just lost a lot of freedom. They have just lost a lot of familiar things.
